The decision to do right must follow the decision to stop doing wrong. It may appear that the one automatically follows the other, but it doesn’t. Both are difinite choices. Repentance is two fold; It requires turning away from sin and turning to righteousness. Some people trun from their sin,  but they never make the decision to start doing right. As a result, they are lured back into sin. 

The Bible is filled with the following “positive replacement principle”. Rejecting all falsity and being done now with it, let everyone express the truth with his neighbour. Let the their steal no more, but rather let him be industrious, making an honest living with his own hands (Ephesians 4:25-28).
