Anxiety is becoming more and more common these days. With all the talk of war and threats to our safety, it’s no wonder we’re all feeling a little on edge. On top of that, we’re dealing with a lot of conflict and change in our own lives. It’s enough to make anyone wonder if they’re going to be okay.
If we are not cautious, our thoughts can easily lead us into a state of anxiety. We may find ourselves caught in a cycle of excessive contemplation and apprehension.
God says we should pray about everything. When we pray, we’re saying that God is in charge of everything and that He’s the only one who can really protect us and help us.
If we are cautious in protecting our thoughts and humbly present them to God, He has promised to bestow upon us His divine peace. This peace transcends our comprehension, for it surpasses the limitations of our anxious and ever-changing world.
It is true that having God’s peace does not guarantee an absence of anxious moments. However, even during times of intense anxiety, we can find solace in the comforting assurance that God is always present and His power far surpasses our anxieties. By entrusting our thoughts and circumstances to Him, we invite His intervention. This allows Him to transform our thought patterns and actions, enabling His peace to envelop and protect our hearts and minds.
Indeed, we lack the ability to alter our thoughts or circumstances; only divine intervention can accomplish such a feat. When we attempt to exert control, we often exacerbate the cycle of anxiety and worry. However, we need not remain in this state. We can present our concerns to the divine entity and, in return, receive divine tranquillity. Over time, we will discover that this divine tranquillity empowers us to think and act in a transformed manner.
When you feel anxious, take a moment to pause and pray. Be honest with God and express your feelings and thoughts at that moment. Remember that God is always in control and is always present with you.
