What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

Life can be tough, and many people struggle to find hope when challenges weigh them down. That’s where my secret skill comes in—I inspire others, especially my friends, by reminding them of the strength they carry within. One of my favourite ways to do this is by sharing stories of biblical characters who faced immense trials yet emerged stronger.

The Bible is full of real, relatable people who wrestled with fear, failure, and uncertainty—just like we do. When a friend feels overwhelmed, I remind them of Joseph, who was betrayed by his own family, sold into slavery, and unjustly imprisoned, yet rose to save nations because he never lost faith in God’s plan. Or David, who went from shepherd to king, facing giants, enemies, and his own mistakes, yet was called “a man after God’s own heart” because of his perseverance and heart of worship.

Then there’s Esther, a young woman who risked her life to save her people, proving that courage isn’t the absence of fear but action in spite of it. And **Job**, who lost everything yet refused to let his suffering define him—his story teaches that restoration is possible, even after the darkest storms.

These stories aren’t just ancient history—they’re proof that struggle isn’t the end of the story. When my friends feel stuck, I help them see their battles through the lens of these heroes of faith. I remind them that just like Joseph, they might be in a pit now, but it’s not their final destination. Like David, their small steps of courage can bring down giants. Like Esther, their moment of purpose may be waiting just ahead.

Inspiration isn’t about giving easy answers; it’s about helping people see their own strength. And if a little encouragement from the past can light a fire in someone’s heart today, then I’ll keep sharing these stories—because everyone deserves to know they’re capable of more than they think.

After all, sometimes all it takes is one reminder: You’re not alone, your fight matters, and your story isn’t over yet.
