Daily writing prompt
What job would you do for free?

So, if you’re looking for someone to, say, build you a website for free, or maybe do your taxes? Keep moving. I’m not your person. But if you need someone to wax poetic about the divine, write mildly inspiring (and occasionally hilarious) blog posts, or accidentally volunteer you for a charity fun run? Then, buddy, you’ve hit the jackpot!

Yes, my “passion projects” are basically a three-ring circus of spiritual enthusiasm, keyboard-driven motivation, and well-intentioned (but sometimes chaotic) charity work. I figure, if I’m going to work for free, it might as well be on things that make me feel like a slightly less chaotic Mother Teresa, with a keyboard.

Sharing the word of God? It’s like being a walking, talking inspirational meme. I get to tell stories that make people think, laugh, and maybe even cry a little (the good kind, hopefully). And if I accidentally quote a Monty Python sketch instead of scripture? Well, God has a sense of humor, right?

Then there’s the blog. My digital soapbox, where I get to unleash my inner motivational guru (with a side of self-deprecating humour). I figure, if I can make someone laugh while also reminding them that they’re awesome, then I’ve done my job.

And the charities? Oh, the charities. It’s like a never-ending episode of “What Crazy Thing Will “Femi” Volunteer Us For Next?” One minute, I’m organizing a skip a meal movement. The next dedication is to support Sight savers with a monthly monetary contribution.

But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about using my “talents” (and I use that term loosely) to make a positive impact.

So, if you see me running around with a Bible in one hand, a laptop in the other, and a slightly bewildered expression on my face, just know that I’m doing my best. And if you happen to have any spare rubber chickens for the next charity event? Well, I’m all ears.

Have a wonderful weekend.
